Welcome to the third international edition of the Future Music Forum. The main objective of the FMF is to gather together the leading minds in the world of online and mobile music to exchange views on how music is being shared in today's digital age and discuss new developments taking place in music technology. Ultimately, our goal is to provide musicians and music industry professionals alike with the tools to help monitize these advancements for future projects. The 2012 edition will be taking place at the Museu D'art Contemporani De Barcelona, better known as the MACBA.
For this year's event we have divided the event into four different modules of interest. We aim to provide a professional yet relaxed platform to explore, engage and discuss these topics with a carefully selected group of music futurists, label owners, managers, music and technology entrepreneurs and digital music consumption analysts. We believe that the future starts with healthy discussion and interaction between both poles of the industry.
Our goal is to establish this event on the annual agenda of the music industry. With the city of Barcelona as an idyllic backdrop, boasting a thriving music scene, and the MACBA as the ideal venue, we believe the Future Music Forum will add to the ambiance of music appreciation and innovation felt throughout the city.
